Addison Ching, Technical Support

Addison Ching is an alumnus of University of Southern California and retired director of Network Support Services for the California State University Office of the Chancellor. He studied electrical engineering at USC. While in college he became interested in computer science and redirected his career to computer programming and Information Technology (IT) administration. His teaching career in computer programming spanned 20 years at USC and at Orange Coast Community College.

Addison is trained on the piano and upright bass and is self-taught on the guitar. As a steel guitarist he has performed with several notable Hawaiian artists and groups including the Keawe ‘Ohana, Jeffrey Apaka and Nathan Nahinu and has performed at Whittier College's Shannon Center.

Addison is vice-chairman of Hawaii Institute for Music Enrichment and Learning Experiences (HIMELE) and is co-coordinator of all statewide festivals. He is also responsible for maintenance, support and hosting of all HIMELE-related festival websites, and maintenance of HIMELE-related social media pages.
